Submissions may fall under the following categories: Research Articles, Review Articles, Essays, Technical Notes, Book Reviews, and Editor’s Notes.
Research Articles
These present original results derived from a scientific research process. The text should preferably include the following sections: Title and authors (with institutional affiliation and email), Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments, References, Tables, and Figures. The article must contain a minimum of 5,000 words and a maximum of 9,000 words, including references. A minimum of 20 cited references is required. In exceptional cases, longer articles may be accepted.
Review Articles
These should focus on a specific scientific topic and critically discuss the findings of cited works (minimum 20 references). Review articles must include: an Introduction with theoretical foundations, a Development section presenting the authors’ perspectives on the subject, a Discussion engaging with cited authors, Conclusions, and References. The word count should range from 5,000 to 9,000 words, including references. Longer submissions may be accepted in exceptional cases.
Essays
Scientific investigations presenting the author’s ideas supported by arguments and literature review. Essays must provide strong conclusions that encourage further research on the topic. The word count should be between 2,000 and 3,000 words.
Technical Notes
These describe the status of a technical problem or report on ongoing research. Recommended sections include: Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and References. The word count should range from 2,000 to 3,000 words.
Book Reviews
Critical analysis of one or more scientific works and their relevance to a research topic at a given time. The word count should be between 2,000 and 3,000 words.
Editor’s Notes
Typically written by the Editor to clarify an unresolved issue or announce important updates regarding the published issue. These notes aim to facilitate communication between readers and the Editorial Board. The maximum length is 1,000 words.
